Poverty is the thief of dreams. Women and Youth in Need is a charity organization based in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA striving to transform lives by reducing the number of hopeless children living on the streets in Huye, Rwanda. Children become homeless for a variety of reasons including severe poverty, abandonment, and abuse. We believe every life matters and every child deserves opportunity for a bright and successful future. WYN works diligently to rescue these children from the streets and help single mothers struggling to provide.

We know that children in poverty are at terrible risk at becoming uneducated adults without employment or opportunity. They are at high risk for a life of hopelessness leading to malnutrition, disease, violence, drugs and crime. We believe by investing in children we can impact their future and end this cycle of poverty for them and their families. We want to rescue as many children as possible from living on the street and provide them what they need to become successful in life.

Children are our most precious and vulnerable members of society. Our goal is to put an end to child abuse, promote children’s rights, and empower their future. We believe every child is deserving of love, care, and protection. We rescue children who are homeless and living on the streets. We provide love, safety, basic necessities, education, medical care, parental support and counseling. We promote healing through counseling to help children overcome the trauma and scars caused by poverty, abuse, neglect and abandonment. We teach healthy parenting though counseling as children are restored to their families. We provide a Biblical foundation, character development, and FUN!
